Capacitor is an electronic component that stores energy. Capacitors are made up of two metal plates separated by a dielectric (non-conductive electrical insulator). Electrolytic, Ceramic, and Film are some of the most commonly utilised dielectrics. Different plate and dielectric materials enable a wide range of capacitor types to be tailored to certain purposes and applications.
